Alongside my career as a designer, I am also a professional artist. At my studio in Istanbul, I create compositions about the degeneration of man, and I am currently exploring themes such as urbanization and brutality. My media of choice primarily consists of acrylic paint on canvas, paper or wood. My work has been featured in several gallery exhibitions and I continue to develop art for new exhibitions. I try to convey my message in an intimidating yet humorous way. In order to balance the gritty visuals of my urban compositions, I include tree and shrub-like flora. I believe this addition brings positivity and colour, brightening up the seriousness of the underlying message, and making it easier for the viewer to receive. Over time, I have found myself exploring flora and continue to do so as a parallel study to my ongoing artistic practice.
